Phyllis J. Wordhouse, CFP
Ms. Phyllis J. Wordhouse’ professional expertise is in Wealth Coaching and Financial Education for affluent Christian women, helping them make wise financial choices, by focusing on eliminating dangers and capturing opportunities. In doing so, she helps them obtain happiness and peace of mind by eliminating their risks and matching their investment philosophy to their virtues.

Ms. Wordhouse earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Education at Calvin College and Masters Degree in Special Education at Eastern Michigan University. She completed the Certified Financial Planner Program at the College for Financial Planning in Denver, Colorado and the Family Wealth Counseling Program in Franklin, Indiana. Ms. Wordhouse is a certified Investor Coach and is the Vice President for Development of The Stewardship Alliance.

Phyllis has contributed to two books. The Dirty, Filthy Lies My Broker Taught Me and 101 Truths about Money and Investing and Getting to the Heart of the Matter . She also wrote and produced several audio tapes: The ABC’s of CRT’s, Money and the Christian Woman, Paycheck Control, Creating Women’s Wealth, Qualifying for College Financial Aid, as well as two video tapes entitled: Your Money Attitude, and Women, It’s Better to Give and Receive. Phyllis was instrumental in the developing of the religious and secular editions of the DOLLARPLAN workbook, a course in personal money management, published by the National Center for Financial Education. She wrote a chapter for San Francisco talk show host, Jim Jorgensen’s book It’s Never Too Late To Get Rich, and is referred to in his second book Money Lessons for a Lifetime.

Ms. Wordhouse’s organization memberships include the International Association of Advisors in Philanthropy , and is a founding member of The Stewardship Alliance , a Christian focus group of 32 Wealth Coaches across the United States.

Ms. Wordhouse is happily married to Jerry Wordhouse, a successful semi-retired commercial glass and glazing business owner. They have four adult children and ten beautiful grandchildren. She and her husband are members of the Trinity Presbyterian Church in Plymouth, Michigan.
