November Newsletter 2009

In This Issue

No matter how large or small your net worth or how young or old you are…every person needs to understand him/herself better. Only by discovering your unique answers to these questions and living your life accordingly will you experience true fulfillment. What do you want to do with the rest of your life? What are you really good at? What is most important to you? What have you done this past year that made you absolutely come alive? What do you want to be remembered for? If your life were absolutely perfect, what would it look like? Ponder these questions over the Thanksgiving and Christmas seasons, as in 2010, we will coach you on the most important things in your life, and include them in your annual appointment…helping you obtain greater Kingdom impact and Peace of Mind.

Do ASAP

  • TCA Accounts: You can reduce your custodian fees if your TCA account is between $30,000 and $555,000. Consider moving ASAP to US Bank for 50% savings. Contact Deb for an analysis on the costs and the paperwork. This is not a taxable event…this is just paperwork.

  • Converting IRA Accounts: Sign paperwork to convert some of all of your IRAs to your Roth and/or open your new Roth if none exists. If you convert in 2010 you may pay your taxes over two years (‘11 and ‘12). Your Roth is the best type of inheritance you can give your heirs…as they get TAX FREE money!

  • Converting your IRA to a Roth and over 70 ½: The government requires you to take your RMD before the conversion in 2010. We will send you the appropriate paperwork.

  • Non Deductible IRA Accounts: Separate all Non Deductible IRA monies from your Traditional IRA account. If you have both ND IRA and a Traditional IRA, converting less than 100% of all IRA’s might create additional taxes, so please contact your tax preparer if converting less than 100% of all your IRAs. Call if you have questions.

  • Giving: Reduce your 2009 taxes by giving to your favorite charities. Appreciated assets are the best items to give to charities.

Do In November

  • Give your extra WWC calendars to the people you celebrate Thanksgiving with.

  • Ask your loved ones if they each have a Roth, the BEST TAX FREE retirement plan the IRS has ever given us.

  • Make sure your working heirs have their Free Market (FM) Roths ready for their inheritance to move into, rather than having those monies be put into an account, which starts a new risk cycle. A small ‘09 Roth is fine, even if it is only $500, plus systemically add to it! You will be giving them a priceless gift, one that money cannot buy! All the TIME your money was disciplined in Free Markets is actually helping your heirs manage their risks! Then in 2010 teach them how to save monthly into their FM Roths. Another benefit…once WWC clients, they can attend Boot Camp!

Reassessing Investment Objective
The market has been doing very well year to date! Free Market Funds / Standard MPT Portfolio unaudited returns: Aggressive is up 36.05% / 35.08%; Long Term Growth 28.41% / 25.24%; Balanced 18.99% / 17.29%; and Income and Growth 9.7% / 7.52%.  Free Markets, owning the whole market, really works! As Mark predicted, the Free Market Funds are getting better returns, due to broader diversification and lower risks.

If you have had a life change, ie: retirement, and feel the need to change your investment objective let us know. The 4 investment objectives are stocks/bonds; 95/5 Aggressive, 75/25 Long Term Growth, 50/50 Balanced, 25/75 Income. If you change objectives please understand that Matrix will not switch you back for 3 years. If you would like more information regarding the objectives composition please email or call Deb and she can get you that information.

2010 Required Minimum Distributions
The 2009 RMD waiver does not affect 2010 RMDs. The IRA account owner who turned 70 ½ in 2009 would still be required to take his or her RMD by December 31, 2010. If you stopped your RMD in 2009 we will start it up automatically for you. If you have any questions please call Maria or Deb.

Free Market Graduates
During the August Series III Boot Camp, 22 clients completed the 12 Free Market (MPT) classes. They each received a WWC graduation gift, something to help them enjoy their enhanced Peace of Mind! How close you are to completing the FM classes…so you too can have greater Peace of Mind and understand how Free Markets Work? Watch for our Boot Camp details! Watch for our 2010 Boot Camp details! 2010 Information
Conversions: All investors can convert their IRAs to Roths, as in 2010 the IRA conversion income ceiling is lifted. However, only 2010 conversions are allowed to have their taxes paid over two years. Be careful if you also have Non Deductible (ND) IRAs, as the IRS looks at all your IRAs as a total value. If you have both types and are not converting 100% of both ND IRAs and Traditional IRAs there could be additional taxes. Please contact your tax advisor before committing to convert less than 100% of both your ND and Traditional IRA. Investors who only have Traditional IRAs may convert as much or as little as they desire.
